Resilience Rise Retreat – 3-Day, 2-Night Experience for Teens (Ages 12–17)

1. What is the Resilience Rise Retreat?
Resilience Rise Retreat is a 3-day, 2-night wellness experience designed to help teens aged 12–17 build emotional strength, reconnect with themselves, and learn practical tools for navigating life with resilience, clarity, and courage.
The program includes:

2. Who is the retreat for?
The retreat is ideal for teens who are:

3. Where is the retreat held?
Our retreats are hosted in peaceful, nature-rich settings in Palm Beach, New South Wales (exact location disclosed after registration). Venues are chosen for their safety, beauty, and ability to inspire reflection and connection.
4. What’s included in the retreat?
The retreat is all-inclusive. Your teen will receive:

5. Who runs the retreat?
Led by Fabie Ismael, a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Child & Youth Mental Health, the retreat team includes:

Youth mentors

Trauma-informed facilitators
All staff have Working With Children Checks, mental health first-aid training, and extensive experience with adolescents.
6. Is this a therapy program?
No. While the retreat draws from evidence-based psychological practices like DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), ACT, and positive psychology, it is not clinical therapy or treatment.
It is a resilience coaching experience designed to support self-development and emotional wellbeing. Teens under mental health care should consult with their provider before attending.
7. How do you ensure my teen’s safety?
We take safety seriously. Measures include:

Low staff-to-teen ratio

24/7 onsite supervision

Mental health and first-aid trained staff

Pre-retreat medical and wellbeing screening

Clear boundaries, structure, and supervision

Emergency parent/guardian contact access
All participants complete a consent, waiver, and medical disclosure prior to attending.
8. What should my teen bring?
A detailed packing list will be sent upon registration. Essentials include:

Swimwear (if applicable)

Refillable water bottle

Any required medications in original packaging

An open mind and readiness to grow!
We provide journals and all program materials. Phones and electronic devices are not permitted during the retreat, except for emergencies.
9. Can I contact my teen during the retreat?
Yes – in case of emergencies or urgent matters, you'll be given a direct number for the retreat coordinator. While we limit digital distractions, we maintain regular wellbeing check-ins and stay in close contact with parents as needed.
10. What is the cost and what does it cover?
Retreat pricing is all-inclusive, covering:

11. What’s your cancellation or refund policy?
We know that plans can change. Our flexible policy includes:

Full refund for cancellations up to 14 days before the retreat

50% refund up to 7 days prior

No refund within 7 days of retreat (except for compassionate/medical reasons)
We’ll do our best to reschedule your teen for a future retreat where possible.
12. How do I register my teen?

Submitting the Medical & Wellbeing Questionnaire

Paying in full or selecting a payment plan
Once booked, you’ll receive a welcome pack and full retreat itinerary.
13. Can parents attend the retreat?
No – this experience is just for teens. Creating space away from home encourages independence, confidence, and peer bonding. However, we offer:

14. What happens after the retreat?
Each teen receives a Resilience Toolkit and reflection journal to support ongoing growth. We also offer:
